Your role will be to help our commerce clients sort out complex product data sets into unified and organized data models for configuring Product Information Management (PIM) and MDM systems. Experience with commerce and PIMs is helpful but not required. If you have the right mindset, attitude, and organization skills, we can show you the ropes. Data analysis of client product data current state, reverse engineer data models & create unified data mappings of thousands of products, categories, and attributes
Ability to learn and master admin interface and data best practices for Pimcore (PIM)
Identify, define & classify master product data models
Define & manage how product data will be stored, consumed, integrated and managed
Working with client and system architects to develop and maintain mappings/rules between business applications & business data and interfaces. Set standards for data management (master & transaction), analyze current state and conceive desired future state.
Applies architectural and technology concepts to address scalability, security, reliability, maintainability and sharing of product data.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure that data / PIM decisions align with the overall client and project goals and requirements
Aid in the development of data standards, data governance, and data management best practices on a project and client basis.
Educates client and other team members in standard processes, policies and procedures related to a specific data model or set.
Basic knowledge of computer science concepts
Basic knowledge & skills in data analysis, data modeling, data profiling, data management of structured and unstructured data is a plus but not required
Basic knowledge of database design, from conceptualization to database optimization is a plus but not required
Basic knowledge of data quality concepts is a plus but not required
PIM / MDM experience is a plus but not required
Basic knowledge of database architecture is a plus but not required
Willingness to learn industry best practices in the various aspects of information, data, commerce technology trends, PIM systems, and commerce data.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or relevant experience.
2+ years of IT and business/industry work experience
3+ years of professional experience in Data/Information Architecture
Willingness to learn quickly and absorb new concepts, skills, and expertise
Open to working on multiple projects at once
Must be passionate about spreadsheets, deep experience with Excel
Must have ability to think logically with strong communication skills
Able to explain complicated concepts in simple terms
Must be able to work collaboratively with client stakeholders, and system architects
Comfortable working to tight deadlines
Consultancy / agency work can be a bit chaotic at time with shifting timelines and requirements; a good attitude and flexible spirit are required.
